Many local residents have understandably raised concerns following the sudden and unannounced closure of Spilsby Surgery.
The following information is to give constituents some guidance on what is set to happen next, following our conversations with
NHS Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board.
The NHS Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board (ICB), responsible for commissioning GP services, has confirmed that:
  • – GP services will continue and are now temporarily being provided by Lincolnshire and District Medical Services (LADMS)
  • – There is no need to register with another GP practice
  • – Existing appointments will be rescheduled. Please wait to be contacted
  • – For urgent care, call NHS 111 or visit www.111.nhs.uk. In emergencies, dial 999
  • – For medication, use the NHS App to order and nominate a pharmacy or call 111 for an emergency supply
Cllr Maria Hume, County Councillor for Wainfleet said: “This is a deeply worrying situation for our residents. I want to reassure them that I am following up with the ICB right now, and asking for regular updates as to the situation.
In the meantime, if you need to collect medication, please use the NHS App to order and nominate a pharmacy for collection. Alternatively, please call NHS 111 to order an emergency supply.”
